There are two young skiers, along with their mothers and coaches, among those who were killed in the deadly plane crash that occurred when an American flight collided with a Black Hawk military helicopter while approaching Washington, DC, Wednesday night.
Boston’s ski club said that Spencer Lin and Jenna Han, along with their mothers, Christine Lynn and Jane Han, and coaches Vadim Numov and Evghania Shishkova were on the trip.
Both skiers were attending a national development camp in Whitchita, Kansas, who followed the skiing championship in the United States at the end of last week.
Officials told reporters on Thursday morning that a total of 60 passengers and four crew members were on the US Airways flight, and it is assumed that three soldiers on a training flight at Black Hawk helicopter had died.

“There are no survivors,” said US President Donald Trump on Thursday.
Lynn was a hero in the 2025 champion of the Mediterranean champion and became common on social media in the ski community, with thousands of followers on Instagram and Tiktok.
