Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s plane landed in West Palm Beach, Florida, this evening, not far from the headquarters of the transition team of incoming US President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
The Prime Minister’s Office refuses to comment on whether the two will meet or not.

This comes days after Trump threatened to impose 25% tariffs on all imports from Canada and Mexico unless the two countries prevent migrants and illegal drugs from crossing the border.
Trudeau and Trump spoke by phone Monday evening after the president-elect made the threat on social media.

Trudeau also held an emergency meeting with the country’s prime ministers at their request on Wednesday to talk about the tariffs.
At a press conference in Prince Edward Island earlier today, Trudeau said he believes Trump’s tariff threats should be taken seriously.
