US President-elect Donald Trump announced on Thursday his plans to make Hollywood “stronger than ever” and appointed stars Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone and Jon Voight as “special ambassadors.”
“I am honored to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone as Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“They will serve as my special envoys for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost so much of its business over the past four years to foreign countries, to a place bigger, better and stronger than ever before!”
Trump said that the three ambassadors will be “my eyes and ears, and I will implement what they suggest.”
He added: “It will once again be, like the United States of America itself, the golden age of Hollywood.”
