Kate Middleton has confirmed that her cancer is in remission, using a social media post to share the good news and thank the staff who cared for her while she underwent treatment.
In a A message posted on Instagram On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales said there was “a lot to look forward to”.
“It is a relief to now be in remission and remain focused on recovery,” the 43-year-old prince wrote.
“As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer knows, adjusting to a new normal takes time. However, I look forward to a fulfilling year ahead.”

The post comes after Middleton’s visit on Tuesday to the Royal Marsden Hospital, the facility where she received treatment following her diagnosis.
“I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well over the past year,” she wrote in her post, praising the “exceptional” care she received during her diagnosis, saying she “couldn’t have asked for more.”
It announced that it will now take on the role of joint patron of The Royal Marsden and hopes to “save many lives” by “supporting pioneering research and clinical excellence, as well as enhancing patient and family wellbeing”.

During her visit to the hospital, Middleton spoke with cancer patient Catherine Field, who was receiving chemotherapy, and expressed her compassion for her cancer treatment experience.

“It’s really hard,” she said of her diagnosis, which she revealed to the world in early 2024. “It’s a huge shock,” she said. “Everyone told me ‘please keep a positive mindset, it makes a big difference,’” she said.
“When I came in, everyone said make sure you wear all your warm clothes,” she added, because chemotherapy rooms can often be cold.

Middleton announced last March that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer and would undergo chemotherapy. Otherwise, she kept the details of her cancer and treatment secret.
