Mélanie Joly will not say whether she believes that US President Donald Trump proposes ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip – but she calls his recent comments “hateful.”
Trump amazed the leaders throughout the Middle East and outside this week when it suggested that the Palestinian territories be cleaned and made to the destination of a resort owned by the United States.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz says that the Israeli army has ordered the drafting of a plan to evacuate any Palestinian “who wants to leave” Gaza “for countries like Canada.
Human Rights Watch and similar groups say that Trump’s plan will win the ethnic cleansing – a view shared by the Minister of International Development Ahmed Hussein and the Minister of Justice, the Warraf Ferrani.

When I was asked twice if she was agreeing, Jolie cited the long position of Canada regarding the Israeli -Palestinian conflict and said, “The comments were hateful.”
She said that the Palestinians have the right to self -determination, and they argued that the best future for the Middle East is a solution from the two countries, where a Palestinian state lives in peace alongside Israel.
“We do not believe in the forced displacement of people and we believe that everything we do should be in accordance with international law,” Jolie told Halifax on Friday.
She said that the two -state solution will allow the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to normalize relations with Israel and create more stability in the Middle East.
Jolie added that the countries should focus on “the maximum pressure against Iran” to stop working with Russia and China to cultivate instability in the region.
