The US Postal Service has temporarily stopped accepting mail bound for Canada due to a strike by Canadian Postal workers.
Customers are asked to refrain from sending postal items destined for Canada, until further notice.
The move by the US Postal Service comes after about 55,000 Canadian Post workers left their jobs more than two weeks ago.

Canada Post says it has provided the union with a framework to reach negotiating agreements in the dispute that threatens the busy holiday season.
It says the plan includes proposals to bring greater flexibility to Canada Post’s delivery model and shows “movement on other key issues” in the labor dispute.
The Canadian Postal Workers Union says its negotiators are reviewing the proposal.
