Several civil society groups invite Ottawa to suspend a refugee agreement with the United States on concerns about the safety of transgender and sexual competitors.

The Canadian Civil Liberties Association, and the Canadian Association of Refugee Attorney, and the Rainbow of the Retaus, urges the federal government to immediately stop the safe country of the third country.

Under the agreement, which entered into force in 2004, Canada and the United States are aware of each other as safe places for refugees to seek protection.

This means that Canada can return potential refugees who reach the land border because the agreement must follow a claim in the United States – their first arrival country – unless they are qualified to obtain an exemption.

Civil society groups say that US President Donald Trump’s recent move to suspend the refugee acceptance program in his country leaves some of those who have been seized in risky circumstances.

The groups want Canada to issue a stop on the removal of the United States for those who will face a growing danger there, or can be returned to the countries where they fled.

They also call Canada to create an exemption under the Canada-United States Convention for those who are transgender and gender logic, and for those who flee gender-based violence, until the agreement is suspended.

“Canada cannot continue, in a good conscience, to remove refugees on the border between Canada and the United States, knowing that the increasing risks of deportation they face if they return to the United States,” says groups in a letter to Immigration Minister Mark Miller, on Friday.

“We should not be complicit in exposing the lives of those who escape persecution.”

Miller’s office said on Friday that the agreement is carefully designed with the regulations for protecting both the borders and the needs of the fleeing persecution.

The minister’s office said: “We are still monitoring developments carefully, and this is the continuous expectation that the United States will act according to the conditions of the agreement that manages our borders.”

Trump also signed an executive that the United States is only two types, male and female.

The American non-partisan immigration lawyer Association says that the detention centers will not separate the detainees except by males or females-and they are likely not to allow separate housing units for transgender individuals or other semi-protected measures.

“It is possible that people who know that they are sexual or inaccurate are abuse of abuse, abuse and great violence in the detention of immigration because of their gender situation,” the association said last month in an analysis of the executive.

Earlier this month, the Canadian Refugee Council and Canada Amnesty International said that Canada “must withdraw urgently” from the secure third state agreement, given the “extended situation” facing refugees in the United States.

The groups said that Trump’s executive procedures on immigration had enlarged the current concerns about the constitutionality of Canada’s participation in the agreement.

“President Trump’s extremist anti -immigration and anti -deities orders are designed to instill fear and make the United States not seriously secure for those who seek protection,” said Kitty Nevibandy, Secretary -General of the English Speaker at Amnesty.

The two groups added the public’s interest to recognize all the owners of claims, including the transgender persons, whose rights and dignity are not protected in the United States.
