Several civil society groups invite Ottawa to suspend a refugee agreement with the United States on concerns about the safety of transgender and sexual competitors.
The Canadian Civil Liberties Association, and the Canadian Association of Refugee Attorney, and the Rainbow of the Retaus, urges the federal government to immediately stop the safe country of the third country.

“Canada cannot continue, in a good conscience, to remove refugees on the border between Canada and the United States, knowing that the increasing risks of deportation they face if they return to the United States,” says groups in a letter to Immigration Minister Mark Miller, on Friday.

Miller’s office said on Friday that the agreement is carefully designed with the regulations for protecting both the borders and the needs of the fleeing persecution.
