The World Animal Health Organization said on Monday that the United States reported the first appearance of the H5 N9 Poultry Virus on a California duck farm.
The US authorities said in a Paris WAHA report that the American authorities also discovered the most common H5N1 breed on the same farm in Mercyd Province, California, adding that nearly 119,000 birds on the farm were killed by December 2.
HPAI flu is spread, known as bird flu, all over the world in recent years, which has executed hundreds of millions of poultry. The disease also spread to dozens of mammals, including dairy cows in the United States, and killed a person in Louisiana.

The strain that has caused most of the damage in recent years is the H5N1 virus. The H5N9 virus is more rare.

“This is the first confirmed case of the HPai H5N9 virus in poultry in the United States,” said the US Department of Agriculture in the report submitted to Woah.
She added: “The animal and plant health examination service of the US Department of Agriculture (Aphis), in cooperation with animal and wildlife officials in the state, is conducting comprehensive epidemic investigations and reinforcing monitoring in response to the events related to the high disease influenza virus.”
