Kate Middleton has confirmed that her cancer is in remission, using a social media post to share the good news and thank the staff who cared for her while she underwent treatment.

“It is a relief to now be in remission and remain focused on recovery,” the 43-year-old prince wrote.

The post comes after Middleton’s visit on Tuesday to the Royal Marsden Hospital, the facility where she received treatment following her diagnosis.

“I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well over the past year,” she wrote in her post, praising the “exceptional” care she received during her diagnosis, saying she “couldn’t have asked for more.”

During her visit to the hospital, Middleton spoke with cancer patient Catherine Field, who was receiving chemotherapy, and expressed her compassion for her cancer treatment experience.

“It’s really hard,” she said of her diagnosis, which she revealed to the world in early 2024. “It’s a huge shock,” she said. “Everyone told me ‘please keep a positive mindset, it makes a big difference,’” she said.

“When I came in, everyone said make sure you wear all your warm clothes,” she added, because chemotherapy rooms can often be cold.
